91È«ÄÜ´óÉñ is thrilled to announce that in Term 1 2026, a new Day House will be introduced as part of our ongoing commitment to outstanding Pastoral Care. Mackey House will become our 19th and more than just an addition to our House system; it will be a new community built on the foundation of connection, belonging and care that defines the 91È«ÄÜ´óÉñ experience.
Our House structure, established nearly 25 years ago, ensures every boy is known and supported. The introduction of Mackey House allows us to grow smaller, deepening the relationships and personalised support that make our pastoral model so effective. While it will also relieve pressure on shared spaces, its primary purpose is to enhance the quality of connection and character formation at the heart of School life.
Mackey House is named in honour of Miss Meta ‘Madame’ Mackey, the first full-time female staff member at 91È«ÄÜ´óÉñ. Serving from 1921 to 1944, Miss Mackey was a dynamic and devoted educator whose legacy continues to inspire. She taught French with excellence, contributed generously to the School’s cultural life, and embodied the values of service and character that have long been part of 91È«ÄÜ´óÉñ’s identity.
We extend our thanks to Mrs Tanya Hill (School Archivist) and the Community Engagement Team team for their work in helping us honour Miss Mackey’s remarkable legacy. We look forward to building a new chapter in 91È«ÄÜ´óÉñ’s story, one that continues to place each boy at the centre of a strong and supportive community.
